If we aren't selective, we are only wasting money and time. Our intentions should be to leave a positive impact in Canada, and not create more issues for our future selves to deal with. Citizens should be able to see a national improvement from immigration, definitely not an increase in crime and disloyalty.

We accept immigrants depending on if they can contribute to society or if they are going to stick to things like entry-level jobs so if we make sure that they are productive and contributing at least they are helping the country and not just bumming around.

Waste of resources, this is unnecessary and will lead to privacy violations. The definition of a productive citizen is also subjective, so it would not be a good or well thought out plan at all. Many immigrants are also fleeing dangerous situations and may need more time to adjust.

If they have become homeless or drug addicts or something horrid like that Canada is obviously not the place for them why are we keeping them?
