There shouldn't be any restrictions on those living on welfare by the lawful creed of the knight code.

 @9JQ8T5Jfrom Alberta answered…3mos3MO

Fewer, but ensure the payments are generous enough to help, but low enough to not discourage entry into the workforce.

 @9JBTHNJfrom Alberta answered…3mos3MO

Make changes to the system so it is more situational, and will provide adequate help to get them off of welfare in the future.

 @9HDNW7DNew Democraticfrom Delaware answered…5mos5MO

Leave it at current rates but provide daycare and job training for recipients. It is a temporary solution not a permanent one.

Fewer, but reform the system to be generous enough for people on lower incomes to get by, but also not discourage entry into the workforce.

More restrictions as this will give benefit the ones who really need it

Fewer, current benefits do not provide enough support and we need to ensure they go to where they're needed most.

 @92S6KXHfrom Ontario answered…2yrs2Y

Welfare should be tied to educational, vocational, and treatment options.

 @92JJNYMfrom Ontario answered…2yrs2Y

More, and those who receive benefits for longer than 6 months should have to begin showing where the money was spent. Additionally, reform the system so that it supplements, rather than replaces, a working income.

 @8ZR6F7Tfrom Ontario answered…2yrs2Y

Fewer. Restrictions prevent individuals from being able to better themselves. Rates must go up dramatically. A fair UBI would be best.

 @8XZYC7Yfrom Ontario answered…2yrs2Y

welfare benefits should only go to those who need them the most, the poor and disenfranchised. It costs more in taxes plus upfront costs to maintain the same system, it would be better just to have smaller healthcare facilities compete for your dollar.

 @8XMLGT4from British Columbia answered…2yrs2Y

Restrict the number of consecutive years a person can collect welfare unless they are physically or mentally unable to work.

 @8XBLRJYLibertarianfrom Alberta answered…2yrs2Y

Abolish corporate welfare, and other welfare should only go to those who cannot cover basic necessities.

More, and only for citizens only for those who REALLY need it (Poor, elderly, disabled, etc)! it should be a crutch to help you get a boost, not to live on! And require background checks for welfare!

 @8VHB8TRfrom Ontario answered…3yrs3Y

I believe there should be a time limit. Some people live off assistance their whole lives.

 @8VH22SVfrom Alberta answered…3yrs3Y

Basic living should be a priority for every individual. Programs that assist those who are elderly or disabled should be provided with the tools they need to provide for these individuals.

 @8V99VJ4from British Columbia answered…3yrs3Y

Welfare recipients, if able, should perform community services and have training for jobs.
