No, the Tiktok situation is not unique to Tiktok. This is just political propaganda because Tiktok was the #1 site used by the Freedom Rally.

No, but we should require TikTok to promote educational content, like how it does in its Chinese version, Douyin. Every major social media out there collects user information and sells it to anyone willing to pay a sufficient price for it, without exception. If we want to prevent foreign governments from accessing user information, we might as well ban the entire internet.

Split in thought. I wish it were not created in the first place, as I would also hold to for most social media outlets, however I don't find it reasonable or justified to ban it unless it is directly targeted at weakening or destroying a countries security or other pivotal functions.
