“I keep hearing about income splitting, and breaks for those people who have kids...well what about those of us, who chose to work, had no kids, and opted to try to eke out a living on their own, buy a house, pay the bills, utilities, food....I am not hearing anything about breaks or income splitting (???) for these people. Our society is geared for couples...if I am alone, then I should be able to catch some sort of tax break too. It is not fair.”
