If they leave, they should not get any benefits to being in close proximity to this country. If they leave, they will make things harder for the East coast which isn’t good (since they thrive on tourism and that would likely make tourism harder) I don’t think it’s necessary for them and instead they should try to enjoy being apart of Canada and lessen their focus on leaving
