I feel like same sex couples should be allowed to adoption rights because I feel like a child has the right to have a family no matter if your adopted by 2 men or women or a man and a woman you still have a family

 @9F8WQ2Ffrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

gay couples should be able to adopt children the same way it’s okay for straight couples to adopt i don’t see anything wrong with a gay couple adopting

 @9FD4ZDYfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

everyone should be able to adopt children and their gender should not matter. everyone should have the right to take care and give love to children, especially those who are in need of homes.

 @9F8D4J3Liberalfrom British Columbia disagreed…7mos7MO

People want to adopt a child, no matter what the sex is of the parents. Kids get to have a loving home and caring parents to love this child.

 @9FG7FGDLiberalfrom British Columbia disagreed…7mos7MO

As long as the couple are safe people that can be trusted with children. I don't see why it would effect their rights to adopt.

 @9FFFHYDfrom British Columbia disagreed…7mos7MO

This is the most horrendous thing I've ever heard, if two people who love each other want to parent a child who didn't have a homes in the first place.LET THEM

 @9FBD6X6from Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Well the LGBTQ have the same rights, and they are the same human being and what if your parent were trans or lesbian and adopted a kid.

 @9F7JTKJfrom Alberta disagreed…7mos7MO

I’ll types of people should be aloud to adopt a child as long as they grow up in a stable environment and have the same opportunities as every one else.

 @9FGDJ6NNew Democraticfrom British Columbia disagreed…7mos7MO

They are the same as straight couples, they act no different. Anyone can be a bad parent, just because someone is gay doesn’t mean they would be a bad parent.

 @9FJBJTJfrom Alberta disagreed…7mos7MO

The right to adoption should be based on your ability to properly raise a child and to bring a functioning, capable adult into our world. Not a couple's sex, or sexual orientation.

 @9FHQXSZfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Gay couples should absolutely be able to adopt children and be treated equally in the application process.

 @9FHJZN6from British Columbia disagreed…7mos7MO

There is no difference between you and someone who is gay except that they like someone who is the same gender.

 @9FHF4VZfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

The evidence overwhelmingly supports that the sexual orientation of parents, whether gay or straight, has no adverse effect on the well-being and development of adopted children, highlighting the importance of granting LGBT couples the same adoption rights as their heterosexual counterparts.

 @9FH6KQFfrom Alberta disagreed…7mos7MO

Why not? They have to go through the same system as straight parents who couldn't have kids. To make sure the home is safe.

 @9FFC6GGfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

If both gay and straight couples were allowed to adopt children, less children would be alone, and more children would be given another chance at a family. Peoples’ ability to parent does not become lower or higher depending on their sexuality. A straight couple may have more trouble parenting a child than a gay couple.

 @9FDM4VC from Washington disagreed…7mos7MO

That's stupid, anyone should be able to be parents regardless of their sexual orientation and those without parents would be given the right to having a parent.

 @9FD7QWZfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

We are all human and every human has the right to have a child until proven unfit. It shouldn't matter what type of relationship someone is in, it doesn't affect you.

 @9FD6PRWfrom Saskatchewan disagreed…7mos7MO

LGBTQ+ people are still people, just because a couple has two men or two women or whatever, does not reflect their ability to raise children. They are people just as straight people are. Straight people can still be bad parents, and gay people can be good parents. I think background checks should be run to assure that a couple is a good fit to be parents, no matter what their sexuality or gender is.

 @9FD565Ffrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

The only difference between a straight couple and a gay couple is the gender of the second parent. The adoption system already has tons of kids in it, why should a child be denied a family just because the parents are the same gender?

 @9FC2MKWfrom Alberta disagreed…7mos7MO

Why does the sexuality of a person affect if they are able to adopt a child? There is nothing that states that straight couples raise children better than same sex partners.

 @9FBK5LFPeople’sfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Gay couples should be allowed to adopt children because they have the same interests as a straight couple when it comes to wanting to adopt a child to strt a family.

 @9FBDJVGfrom Ontario agreed…7mos7MO

100% of the adopted people of the LGBT have come out. This means the parents are putting wicked thoughts into the adopted mind.

 @9F9VHPRLiberalfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

A gay couple could want a child just as much as a straight couple wants one, and the fact that a couple is gay should not effect the process of adopting children in any way.

 @9FBGDDWfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Then you need to adopt all those children yourself, or we need better funding for abortion clinics, healthcare, and adoption centres.

 @9FBF8BTfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

More children are given homes instead of having to live in an adoption centre/foster homes for most of their life.

 @9FBD45Yfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

A gay couple should be able to adopt children. This is an act of discrimination, and a gay couple should be able to provide the loving and safe home in which a straight couple can.

 @9F8XK9Xfrom Alberta disagreed…7mos7MO

Preventing same-sex couples from adopting a child is an act of discrimination based upon religious belief. There is no evidence to support that a child is at risk of harm because the parents adopting them are same-sex. Imposing religious beliefs upon any persons is a violation of human rights and is unethical. Simple as that.
But if you want to talk about morality, prevention of care to a child based upon a predicated "sacred law" is immoral and only furthers the "us vs them" hatred cycle.
And if you want to talk about authority, Jesus frequently and publicly rebuked the religious leaders of his time for doing exactly that. Imposing rules and feeling superior because they thought they were being more "righteous" by following them.

 @9F9MZ88People’sfrom Alberta disagreed…7mos7MO

If they want children and can provide a loving and caring environment for their adopted children, then of course they should be able too. They are still people and should be allowed the same rights as straight couples.
