my best counter argument for this would be that it helps keep the environment safe and is less dangerous to the environment.

 @9G99Y9Lfrom Ontario disagreed…6mos6MO

nuclear energy is clean, effective, cost-efficient, and safer. For Canada to grow it will need energy and as of present Nuclear is our best option

 @9K6LJNTfrom Ontario agreed…2mos2MO

If i were to research how many people had severe injuries whilst on the job of a nuclear power plant it would be quite large as opposed work-related injuries on other jobs of energy powered.

 @9JVTX4Wfrom Alberta agreed…2mos2MO

Nuclear energy is a good choice but also has opposing factors such as radioactive waste and limited fuel supply

 @9HXH3FWfrom Ontario disagreed…3mos3MO

Nuclear Energy is a big reliable source of energy. We will one day run out of gas for our cars and machines, plus the carbon they produce are very bad. Nuclear energy sources can be safe with more research.

 @9HQXYFKConservativefrom Ontario agreed…4mos4MO

I believe we should increase military power but definitely not nuclear, because nuclear energy may destroy us and the world

 @9H4Y24Rfrom Ontario disagreed…5mos5MO

If Canada ends up in a situation where we are importing other resources and that country gets in war wee will be left with nothing then we will have to resort to nuclear energy.

 @9GZS4M2from Ontario disagreed…5mos5MO

Without the use of nuclear energy there would not be enough power to create alternative energy sources, we must rely on nuclear energy temporarily until conditions for more renewable energy sources are readily available

 @9GX4BM8New Democraticfrom British Columbia disagreed…5mos5MO

Nuclear energy is pretty clean (actually pretty safe - most meltdowns are caused by human error) and it provides lots of power. This will

 @9GVK6XLfrom Alberta agreed…5mos5MO

While it's cheap to use it can be very dangerous to us and our environment it could end up leaking or it could explode which will radiate our plant or causing toxic chemicals in the air.

 @9GRY65Wfrom Ontario disagreed…5mos5MO

Nuclear accidents are the main thing people are afraid of. If you look at the numbers, nuclear accidents happen way less than other accidents. Nuclear also causes less deaths per unit of energy produced

 @9GL2J24Liberalfrom Manitoba disagreed…6mos6MO

Nuclear energy is both good for the environment as well as moderately safe with there being only 3 major events caused by poor management and bad equipment. In the end it’s just a cleaner more efficient energy criminalized due to shotty power plants

 @9GH4VMJfrom Ontario agreed…6mos6MO

Because the nuclear energy can end up exploding or leaking, which now means that toxic chemicals are in the air and end up causing an explosion or radiating the planet.

 @9GGWHYSfrom Ontario disagreed…6mos6MO

It is soooo much better than pumping smog into the air. It’s also extremely efficient, and dispite Chernobyl exploding 45 years ago, nuclear meltdown are extremely unlikely.

 @9GCWLKLfrom Ontario agreed…6mos6MO

When there is an accient in any part of a Nucleer Energy Plant it could cause incident like the Chernobly Explosion and The Three Mile Island Incident.

 @9GCNRN9from Nova Scotia agreed…6mos6MO

The Government of Canada's point of view is, therefore, that nuclear disarmament must be sought in a concerted and non-unilateral manner, that civilian nuclear power, implemented with the greatest safety, security and non-proliferation measures, is an important part of the energy mix, and studies indicate that the reliance on nuclear energy will be necessary to achieve carbon neutrality in time to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. Nuclear will be needed for

 @9FWGQYBfrom British Columbia agreed…7mos7MO

It is very very dangerous and can ruin people’s lives and create serious health problems, as well as the chance of them blowing up and destroying communities

 @9GDCSCBfrom British Columbia disagreed…6mos6MO

There is a lot of misinformation and fear surrounding nuclear power but it is a clean energy source that will help us until we can fully transition to green energy.

 @9G97DZLfrom Ontario agreed…6mos6MO

you guys should agree with me because think about it if something happen a nuclear bobm could be set off and white out more than half the city

 @9FZ37PMdisagreed…6mos6MO

Nuclear energy is proven to be both a safe and clean form of energy generation. There is virtually no carbon emissions. It is efficient.with effective management, there is little risk of adverse effects

 @9FYMJ74Conservativefrom New Brunswick disagreed…6mos6MO

You are completely brain-dead if you're against nuclear energy. More sustainable energy makes the left happy, and buying less oil from Afghanistan will make the right happy. I don't see any downsides to having more cheap sustainable energy.

 @9FWJ44Yfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Nuclear Energy is one of the cleanest and most efficient sources of energy that modern technology can possibly produce. In fact, fossil and coal fuel has caused more deaths than nuclear power plants. I do acknowledge that nuclear power plants ,if gone wrong, can cause serious damage, but fossil and coal fuel causes much more damage regardless if something goes wrong. Coal and fossil power is simply more damaging than nuclear power. Coal and fossil waste are also produced more frequently than nuclear waste and has more lasting damage than nuclear waste.

Nuclear waste can be safely contained, buried, and loses its energy over time, rendering it nearly harmless. Coal and fossil waste cause long-lasting damage. A good example of the damage coal and fossil waste have created is climate change.

 @9FSCN3MConservativefrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Nuclear Energy represents our best chance at efficient energy production without being reliant on Russia and minimizing emissions.

 @9FRVPDRfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Nuclear energy is actually quite safe, past Nuclear accidents have been caused by neglect and bad reactor design.

 @9FKGSNXfrom Ontario agreed…7mos7MO

nuclear bombs are very dangerous and should not be used since they only destroy the planet and nuclear

 @9FJKVHPfrom Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Nuclear is the cleanest and most efficient energy source we know. Solar and wind simply doesn't provide the level of energy required to sustain our way of life. Per capita, less people die from nuclear energy and related accidents compared to other forms of energy.

 @9FGTTSTfrom British Columbia disagreed…7mos7MO

It is cleaner for society and all major accidents were from faulty and unchecked equipment, and those were 1 in a trillion

 @9G9Z99Ffrom Ontario disagreed…6mos6MO

Nuclear energy is efficient, safe, and could help us cut out fossil fuel usage. The only reason most people are afraid of using nuclear power plants is because of previous incidents caused by incompetency, faulty equipment, and outdated equipment. Nowadays they are managed very well and most incidents that have happened in the past are not repeatable.

 @9G7Y86Bfrom New Brunswick disagreed…6mos6MO

Nuclear is way more efficient and effective then fossil fuels and as long as we follow the safety requirements and regulations we'll be good.
