No only adults over the age of 18 or older should be eligible to vote considering people under the ages of 18 tend to be more immature and not independent on their own opinion political wise.

MOST people under the age of 18 have very few financial responsibilities and rely on their parents for food, housing and utilities. They also tend to be much more immature and most likely have very little experience with real world struggles.

So people with no common sense, lack of education and with mental health problems have the right opinions of politics?

I feel that when you are working a minimum wage job as a teenager ( below the minimum voting age) you don’t have many expenses of any at all. You are easily influenced by the media and don’t make your own decisions consciously. The voting age should stay the same. You get all your tax money back anyways with age/minimum wage

Children typically do not have a firm grasp on the political climate and real-world issues. They are easily influenced my social-media, peers, and teachers.

If they are not a citizen of the country they should not be able to control who will run their country. Paying taxes is different in the sense that, they cannot live for free or less than the average person. Taxes are part of living in our country so you must pay them, but voting is not a right of living in our country unless you are legally a citizen.

Citizen who pay tax or not should be able to vote. There should be a test before you should vote to see what you know about government and politics. The minimum age should be 18-20.

Any citizen under the age of 18 years old should not vote because they are too young to understand how big voting in an election is for a country, and most people under 18 do not know what the government or the society is really like.

The age of voting in Canada is 18, and the reason for that is because at this age these people start to be more affected by government policies. This isn't to say that people under the age of 18 aren't already affected, but it's not substantial enough to give them a reason to look into the meaning behind these affects. By starting to affect them at around age 16, it gives them a general idea of how they are affected by the government so that by the time they 18 and can vote, they have a general understanding behind the logistics of government policies.

Many people can vote at young ages...if that were to be the case, but our brains do not substantially develop in those specific age ranges therefore wouldn't be able to comprehend such political/economic situations. Voting age should be set to 21.

I think that everyone that lives in that country should have the right to vote for who is best for their country
