No, I do not agree with the death penalty. When it comes to collectively deciding to end a human's life as a result of breaking: laws, societal expectations or even moral codes I disagree with the supposed benefit of eliminating them from society. Society should not be built on eliminating the "worst of us," but rather working to better those who need guidance and holding individuals accountable for actively choosing to cause harm. I do agree, however, with a lifetime in prison as long as they are given a fair trial and are re-evaluated on a determined basis to watch for consistent improvement. If improvement achieves levels deemed integrable into society, transfer to strict educational and rehabilitative programs.
