Those stuck in minimum wage are unable to use that "experience" to further their socio economic position due to how minimum that wage is.

Many people need a job in order to maintain their family because they can't get another job. People need to understand that some people need the money and not just the experience.

People do not necessarily have the education or certification required for higher-paying positions. They will be incapable of supporting themselves, considering high grocery and housing costs.

Most immigrants have to get a minimum wage job to support their family when they first arrive here with nothing.

 @9GJVTZPfrom Alberta disagreed…5mos5MO

Minimum wage was originally the minimum amount of money a person should be paid in order to support a family.

Not everyone was able to get a good job and get the right amount of education growing up. Some people can only get minimum wage jobs. They should be able to support their families.

Some people don't get the chance to get a very high paying job based on there history that couldve happened years ago so the employer always just sees you as a bad person to work for their company

Some people don't have the money to pay for higher education or time to go to school because bills are too high! How are people suposed to get higher education if they can't even pay rent?

 @9FS3HX5from Saskatchewan disagreed…6mos6MO

some people dont get the education they need to pursue a better career so they rely on minimum wage jobs to get them through but they cant support their family if its so low

I disagree some people do not have the education to get a better job to support their family, so they have to work minimum wage job to support their family.

Minimum wage as designed was to ensure that someone could meet all of their basic needs (food, housing, etc.) without relying on government assistance. Every person who works needs to have their needs met, so it is not only logical that their employer supplies the means to allow them to survive (and therefore continue to generate profit) but it also puts less strain on the government, and subsequently the taxpayers.

People who have lower levels of education usualy struggle to find a job that can support them, let alone their family

 @9FLGCVHfrom Ontario disagreed…6mos6MO

With many basic necessities going up in price people working in lower class jobs cant provide for people.

 @9FL7G8Cfrom British Columbia disagreed…6mos6MO

most minimum wage jobs require more physical labour compared to other jobs and the reason for attaining this job should not be of concern because at the end of the a job is a job

 @9FKLW67from Ontario disagreed…6mos6MO

If we need the experience, why not just have schools give us opportunities for experience so you can get a job to support yourself and loved ones as soon as you finish school.

 @9FKJS6Ffrom Ontario disagreed…6mos6MO

minimum wage jobs are still jobs. people need to be able to live off their job and a the bare minimum be able to support themselves

 @9F7ZSY3from Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Some people are unqualified to get a real job but must support a family. If they increase minimum wage that person earns experience and can still support their family

 @9F7TTQHfrom Ohio disagreed…7mos7MO

i think minimum wage should be hired after you have worked at a place for a year or two i believe you should get a raise, some people aren’t qualified enough to get a big 9-5 job but they have a family at home that they support

 @9GYBKDPfrom Ontario disagreed…5mos5MO

I believe this is true, but also a lot of families do have to live off the life of a minimum wage working family. Which is okay.

 @9FNMQKLLiberalfrom Ontario disagreed…6mos6MO

Some people miight need that extra money to pay for their families. Even if their families are not poor.

 @9FBCT87from Ontario disagreed…7mos7MO

Minimum wage workers should not be paided less for doing a job that a high educated person doesn't do because that does not make them less of a person.
