As British Columbia's provincial election approaches on October 19, both the New Democratic Party (NDP) and the Conservatives have nominated full slates of candidates. A total of 323 candidates are officially running, with an increase in independent candidates following the collapse of the BC United Party. Notably, 11 Indigenous candidates are competing across 93 ridings, representing the NDP, Conservatives, and Greens. This election is shaping up to be one of the most diverse in recent history.

It’s great to see the NDP fielding a full slate, especially with more Indigenous representation—let’s hope this election brings about real progressive change for B.C.!

Great, two parties that can't wait to grow the government even more. We need more independent candidates who actually care about individual freedom and cutting down government interference in our lives.

After the BC United Party collapsed last month and suspended its 2024 election campaign, there are more independent candidates running in next month's provincial elections than in any recent election.
