Yes so that Canada is positioned to develop and contribute renewable energy technologies and be seen as a leader in this are of development around the globe . As with the early development of solid waste management technology in the 1950's sometimes the advanced technology which is developed must sit on the shelf for many years until the regional and global economic climate is right for application in practice . Investm,ents should be strategic and should balanced with other investments in the energy sector. The federal and provincial governments in the cost share with industry on investments in renewal energy.

The government should encourage development of renewable energy sources and give tax breaks to those who can produce their own energy in an environmentally friendly way, ie, solar/wind, etc.
