What would a society based on Christian compassion actually look like?

 @9H6NBGWLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don't believe that we should depend on the teachings of any gospel for our compassion. Compassion is an innate tendency of humans, and attributing it to fixed, unchanging document, limits our ability to take advantage of its wide ranging flexibility. Any kind of Christian society would be dogmatic and restricted to ancient believes that are almost entirely without merit. For all the respect I have for religious people, I do not believe a free society should be held back from free thought.

Can Christian love coexist with the drive for personal profit?

 @9H5ZSG3Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Despite its long history, Christian Socialism remains a controversial ideology. Some Christians argue that socialism is inherently atheistic and incompatible with Christianity, while others believe that it is the best way to realize the Christian values of love, compassion, and social justice. However, despite these disagreements, Christian Socialism continues to be a significant influence in many Christian communities around the world.
