We shouldn't have conscription. People who are forced into the military make poor soldiers and broken jaded men. I've seen what it has done for people who where conscripted in their home country. It made them suicidal and broken and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. The notion it makes you better is a load of horse **** .

Came from a country where there is a huge conflict between the guerrilla and government, I am definetely pro militarism when is properly implemented and organized.
