How would you define freedom in your own life, and what role do you think community should play in that?

How would society change if everyone had equal access to resources and opportunities?

 @9HD4NRNfrom Ontario  answered…12mos12MO

It just doesn't seem like a reality. People are different, have different grades of competitiveness, business desires, family size, needs and wants. It doesn't make sense for us all to be the same.

How does the idea of 'voluntary participation' manifest in your daily experiences?

 @9K99M7Wfrom British Columbia  answered…9mos9MO

Socially, both tend to be fairly similar. Personal freedom, equality, etc.

From a government perspective, they are both very similar. Both want smaller, less involved government.

The biggest difference seems to stem from their economic view. Right libertarianism would favor more of a laissez faire capitalism, tolerate major corporations etc. Left libertarianism is more of a anti-capitalist/socialist view.

The ultimate failure of both systems is that people must be responsible and morally good (or at least the majority will be). Without restrictions, a right libertarian economy would dominate the left…but would inevitably transform into a plutocracy. Where the wealthy control everything.
