If found guilty, should former President Trump be pardoned for mishandling classified documents?

In June 2023 a grand jury indicted former President Donald J Trump with 37 felony counts for mishandling classified documents after his presidency. 31 counts fall under the espionage act and 6 counts fall under making false statements and engaging in a conspiracy to obstruct justice. This is the first case in the history of the United States where a former president has been indicted under federal charges. A sitting U.S. president has only pardoned a former president once in U.S. history when President Gerald Ford pardoned former president Richard Nixon in 1974. Nixon was pardoned for misconduct related to the Watergate scandal.
