If none come in deadly it is all good then, it depends on where they're going as well.

 @9K6HR9Kfrom Ontario answered…2mos2MO

No, we are too isolated to care, and we should get land from the states if it collapses.

Depending on the situation, the immigrants from high risk countries shouldn't be banned from entering the country, however should be interrogated a few weeks before entering.

 @9JXW8SVfrom British Columbia answered…2mos2MO

instead of being banned, i think we should run intense background checks of the individuals who are entering the country.

 @9JXR49Bfrom British Columbia answered…2mos2MO

They should not be banned, but there should be thorough investigation before they are allowed in.

We should speed up the improvement in screening - banning has too many negative impacts

 @9JQ8T5Jfrom Alberta answered…3mos3MO

No, but ensure they pass the background checks & do not have a history of committing serious crimes.

 @9JJJ7GSfrom Newfoundland answered…3mos3MO

not banned. could be people wanting to flee those conditions. However special vetting is needed to ensure they are not going to be a national thereat

No. I don’t trust the government to assess what a “high risk country” would be.

 @9H26K8Sfrom Ontario answered…5mos5MO

No, but I still think that improving the ability to screen potential terrorists is a smart idea.

 @9GZYG4Jfrom Quebec answered…5mos5MO

Yes, regardless whether the government improves its ability to screen out potential Threat or not.

 @9L5GNDKfrom Ontario answered…1mo1MO

Yes but they could undergo a certain test that will determine and classify if they are terrorists or not

 @9L4MFDNfrom Ontario answered…1mo1MO

Immigrants form hight risk and war torrn countries like seriea and iraq are some times in the most need

 @9L2P5YGfrom Ontario answered…1mo1MO

It depends on the situation. If there is a potential danger alert from a few people with suspicious backgrounds, there should be more investigation, but if there is no suspicion then there should be no holdup.

 @9KZBBVNfrom Ontario answered…1mo1MO

We want to be safe but this can lead to discrimination of people from countries that are black brown or muslim

 @9GNXXXTfrom British Columbia answered…6mos6MO

That's against the constitution to discriminate on religion, and would be a huge reversal from the history of a move to a more progressive immigration system, as we have a points based (not race or faith based) immigration system.

There should be a thorough background check on the immigrant and all their stuff coming in. Especially their social network.

no and yes because it could look like you are just assuming that they are a terrorist but it is also good because we have to protect our country as well
