Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
教育 › 大学学费
8>8 Personal answerTo that level that makes if fair for the students, professors, and the taxpayer. |
经济 › 税
8>8 Personal answerDefine rich. Are you talking about annual incomes here? Or net wealth? Or do you mean anyone who doesn't live below the poverty line. This idea of taxing the rich in this country is misleading. It's the upper end of the middle class that seem to pay for everything. The rich certainly don't help much. |
环境 › 环境规制
8>8 Personal answerYes, fair enough, but then cut back on some of the other unneeded regulations |
经济 › 最低工资
8>8 Personal answerYes and make it a living wage. Absolutely, and dismantle EI and welfare agencies (at least as they currently exist) to pay for it. Makes good sense. A giant gov't dept like EI is another giant Canadian bureaucracy that sucks too much money from the system. We don't get good value for it and would be better spent giving to those that lose their jobs, or are unemployable. |
环境 › Local Environmental Guidelines
8>8 Personal answerI don't know. I guess if I was convinced this could be a workable solution. How does the UN develop it's guidelines? I don't think this organization if very competent and often politically motivated. |
移民 › Muslim Immigrant Ban
8>8 Personal answerDuring a time of heightened political tension in certain areas of the world it makes sense scrutinize immigrants from some regions. Sorry, it's not being discriminatory...only sensible considering some groups score points for hitting soft targets. |
环境 › 北方网关管道
8>8 Personal answerYes, if it it done safely and respects all stakeholders. There is still a market for oil. Why not let Western Canada access the market. How does a country, so proud of universal health care, pay for it without a reliable source of revenue. You can't keep tax punishing people who try to get ahead (and it's not the rich, by the way). |
移民 › 移民
8>8 Personal answerIncrease to solidify our tax base and establish a policy that allows an adequate number of skilled workers balanced with a responsible number of refugees and those from less developed countries. |
罪行 › Defunding the Police
8>8 Personal answerdon't know enough about it. |
总统大选 › 最低投票年龄
8>8 Personal answerI don't believe someone at 16 or 17 has a clear grip on the issues are are too easily quickly influenced by ideology. |
总统大选 › 外国人的投票权
8>8 Personal answer是的,但是只有在此国家生活10年后 |
经济 › 政府支出
8>8 Personal answerYes, but make the public sector more efficient...please, please, please. I see this as the biggest (by a country mile) source of waste and mis management in Canada. Monopolies are never a good idea - obviously. And we don't need government monopolies to prevent us from becoming "American". Seems the be the biggest fall back for proponents of a government workforce to deliver everything. No one wants an American health care system. But we can certainly have a system more efficient, timely, and less expensive than the way ours has developed. It's hopeless, and throwing more money at it isn't the answer. |
Housing › Home Buyer Incentives
8>8 Personal answerFor 1st time home owners |
Housing › Non-Resident Real Tax
8>8 Personal answerDepends on the overall wealth of the non-resident. |
交通运输 › 公共交通
8>8 Personal answerYes, but consider ways to reduce wasteful spending in public systems as part of this strategy. Yes more public transportation but less redundant admin. Should work in tandem |
外交政策 › 军费支出
8>8 Personal answerSpending isn't the issue. It is how the money is spent. |
教育 › Charter Schools
8>8 Personal answerOh gawd. Is this another federally funded/CBC survey designed to mock Alberta? Anyway, yes I would support this only because more of it might force the public systems to work responsibly and efficiently. I work in the public education system so I can say that. Some teachers I work with do not care at all about the students, parents, or the hard working people who fund the system. Only about themselves and their entitlements |
