If you could create a new student society focused on middle-ground solutions, what would its mission be?
@9JGJXCP8mos8MO
I think a big problem with left vs. right is our tendency to sort people in boxes instead of taking them at face value for their character. There needs to a big switch in how we think about other people, I am more left-leaning but can get along with plenty of more right-leaning people. Being able to hear the other side of an argument is important so I do not think we need everyone to become center-leaning.

Can you imagine a world where political decisions are made through consensus; would it be less divisive?
@9JRWNKZ8mos8MO
I believe the world would be more diverse because of this since people would come over the the community to be heard, but in certain circumstances yes it could be less diverse.

How could a balanced viewpoint improve discussions about technology's role in our lives?
@9HX66QS9mos9MO
New technology should be restricted and regulated as little as is required for it to meet current regulations or safety standards in Canada. The approval and regulation of technology in Canada should be sped up greatly.

Advocating centrism affects societal change in views that are more towards the left side, and laws that are more towards the right side.
