How would you personally prepare for a future where traditional pensions might no longer be guaranteed?

 @9HZ5PVBLiberalfrom Alberta answered…4mos4MO

I might create a savings account and gradually invest more of my money toward that.

 @9HZ5KV3from Alberta answered…4mos4MO

I would save money so that when I do get older and need money I would have some, as well I would invest my money for the future.

What's the most significant hurdle you think people face when saving for retirement today?

 @9K8HRYHfrom Alberta answered…3mos3MO

I think the biggest hurdle is actually making enough money in order to save for retirement, minimum wage is so low, not everyone makes over $100K/year. Many people have to pull money from their retirement funds due to unforeseen costs. Also due to not making much money, it appears as though many elderly people quite literally work themselves to death so they can fully relax during their retirement. For example, many individuals who plan to retire at 65 end up working till their 75 to have enough money saved.
