Yes

 @9LZLWHTfrom Saskatchewan  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Are you Ukrainian or are you Canadian? If you are Canadian then why are you giving stuff to people of Ukraine then the people of Canada.

 @9ZWK8W4from Washington  agreed…1yr1Y

Russia will not stop at Ukraine. They have been aggressive towards various other European states, sabotaging power plants and various other misinformation campaigns. We must end the war in Ukraine, to Ukraine's benefit, as quickly as possible (the UDF contributes to the expedited goal). The burden on the average Canadian is relatively low, all things considered. If the war continues and escalates, we will be forced to endure a higher burden which will no doubt include the deaths of many Canadians.

 @9FWFKDYfrom Alberta  agreed…3yrs3Y

If we do help Unkrain then Russia will be put in there place and maybe just maybe Potin will back off.

 @BD2Y785Conservativefrom Alberta  disagreed…1wk1W

Ukraine is hugely corrupt. Most of the money we send doesn't get where it is supposed to. It's not our fight. We have our own issues that are neglected . The war never needed to start in the first place and could have been ended long ago. It's momey laundering

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...4yrs4Y

No

 @BD2Y785Conservativefrom Alberta  agreed…1wk1W

Canada has no dog in the fight. We stand to gain nothing. It's a money laundering scam and canada stands to gain nothing from dumping more money into it.

 @BD2636Lfrom Ontario  agreed…1wk1W

Canada has a massive debt. We should be investing in our own priorities, infrastructure, and social programming.

 @BCF4DSGLiberalfrom New York  agreed…1mo1MO

• The United States has sent $180+ billion to Ukraine
• Most of it is military aid, which can prolong the war
• The war has lasted years with no clear end
• Some money isn’t fully tracked, raising concerns

Big idea: high cost, unclear results, and risk of long-term involvement

 @B7HL7W8from Ontario  agreed…7mos7MO

https://www.cfr.org/global-conflict-tracker/conflict/conflict-ukraine

That's a lot of money for a country that is going to lose. While letting their country people suffer in poverty.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...4yrs4Y

Yes, and increase the current amount of resources we are providing

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...4yrs4Y

No, we should not get involved in this conflict

 @B7MB9ZTfrom Ontario  disagreed…7mos7MO

We should be getting involved because for the powerful resources we have, we should be using them with their full purpose and help the other countries that aren't so fortunate and need help.

 @B4YBP3HConservativefrom Nova Scotia  disagreed…1yr1Y

Putin is a modern day fascist and seeks to exert control over and eventually annihilate the Ukrainian people, as shown through his systematic kidnapping of Ukrainian children and purposeful destruction of Ukrainian historical and cultural sites.

 @9FWFKDYfrom Alberta  disagreed…3yrs3Y

If we don't help then there is a chance they won't win and that is an advantage for Russia because if Russia does win then the country is only going to get bigger and we don't want that.

 @9FPBM6Kfrom Manitoba  agreed…3yrs3Y

This whole idea of Ukraine keeping every square inch is a fairytale. And you don't have to be "pro Russia" to understand this is all completely ridiculous. I agree Canada and other more developed countries should help when and where we can but this entire Ukraine thing is ridiculous and handled miserably

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...4yrs4Y

Yes, but only provide humanitarian aid

 @9LZLWHTfrom Saskatchewan  disagreed…2yrs2Y

We live like 1,000,000 Km away from them or something and they are not part of north America. We give humanitarian aid to people that go to our country and live there, not to people from Europe. Its not our war too.

 @9G7L9ZNConservativefrom Ontario  disagreed…3yrs3Y

We should be spending money on our own citizens and making sure we can take care of ourselves before others.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...4yrs4Y

No, Ukraine should rely on their own resources to defend themselves

 @9ZWK8W4from Washington  disagreed…1yr1Y

Ukraine is not in the position to rely on their own resources to defend themselves. Ukraine is not the aggressor, and it is highly important that we send aid and prevent further disaster since Ukraine will not be able to defend themselves on their own. We must act against Russia, considering they are now an active enemy of the West and have proven consistently that they do not care for international law. We must act in the defense of Ukraine to prevent further geopolitical disaster in Europe. It is not a desirable situation for us to be sending resources, however, it is imperative that we come to the aid of our Western allies when they cannot fully defend themselves with their resources.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...4yrs4Y

No, we cannot afford to give economic resources right now

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...4yrs4Y

No, we cannot afford to give military resources right now

 @B24MVPRfrom Ontario  disagreed…1yr1Y

Either we pay for Ukraine to fight Russia now or we pay with blood when they attack NATO countries and we have to fight WW3.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...4yrs4Y

Yes, but decrease the current amount of resources we are providing

 @9LZLWHTfrom Saskatchewan  disagreed…2yrs2Y

We should just not give anything to them. Besides didn't Russia make the AK47? These guys are smart with military weapons and they showed videos about the weapons too like the drones. So it would be wasting resources to Ukraine.

 @9FPBM6Kfrom Manitoba  disagreed…3yrs3Y

We need to negotiate an ending and stop all the deaths from both sides. A deal was made in the beginning but the USA and EU got involved to benefit the military industrial complex and try to make Russia's military weaker. Meanwhile Russia now has everything they wanted, thousands dead and millions are displaced across the world with their lives ruined or completely changed.

 @B46V7MRLibertarianfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

No we should be pursuing peace, and possibly even considering statehood with the USA, now that the new administration has indicated that they would not continue the provocation of Russia in this conflict, and instead would be making peace the goal

Barring that, in the event of more extreme escalation by the corrupt actors in the UN, NATO and the EU, Canada would be wise to strongly and loudly condemn the race towards nuclear war, and instead re-prioritize a stable relationship with Russia to hedge against the actions of Davos/Club of Rome/Fabian Society-types.

 @9RKDWR4from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

NATO provoked the war with Russian, so at this point we are obligated, but we never should have allowed NATO to provoke this war. Blood is on every NATO country’s hands

 @BD33HXTfrom Massachusetts  answered…1wk1W

 @BCT32G4Conservativefrom Saskatchewan  answered…3wks3W

no because I don't even know what Ukraine did for Canada and I feel like if we keep giving them supplies theres going to be more wars and country's are not going to get along

 @BCK7CFPLiberal from Ontario  answered…1mo1MO

Yes but to a certain amount because we shouldn't hand over all our supplies and values to another country across the world that have other allies.

 @BCDN993from Ontario  answered…1mo1MO

I believe we are already providing supplies and funding to Ukraine, but I do not think we should increase it unless we have a dramatic increase on the CAF budget to help support both the CAF and Ukraine.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

If you were an international decision-maker, how would you weigh the controversies of taking sides in a foreign war or conflict?

 @9WSVFNVfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

You'd have to think about if you'd be targeted and pull into a war or seen as a enime even if you want to stay nutural and just want to support weaker areas.

 @B4RKM8YConservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No, we don't have the economic and military resources to fund the war, and this does not concern Canada's national interests.

 @B4ND9T9Conservativefrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

No. Everyone saw the war coming before it happened and no one stepped in at that time to prevent it. It is a polical battle and a sales convention. See foreign aid questions above.

 @B3HV94Qfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, only if they promise to pay back the funding after their war in installments like the United States did in the past like World War 1 and 2.

 @B2WCXGTLibertarianfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

We Should use it as a way to justify buying new equipment for Canada by transferring old equipment to Ukraine

 @B2BM93Xfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Not right now, as of very recently no, if we had money and were better off, sure. However, the states can handle that right now.

 @B29BM44from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Humanitarian aid, and training. We have no obligation to fund this country while Canadians are suffering at home.

 @B23CRQ3from Nova Scotia  answered…1yr1Y

No, Ukraine has shown to be corrupt, racist, anti-Jewish sentiment and allows Neo-Nazis into their military, we should not have relations with them until they eliminte Neo-Nazi groups.

 @9WYDMSDfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

No, Ukraine should rely on their own resources and should pay us back with interest on all the aid we have given them since 2014.

 @9WKCQFTfrom New Brunswick  answered…2yrs2Y

We have so many problems here. We have given enough to other nations. It’s time to look after our own problems.

 @9VPGMP8from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, as long as the military supplies is leftover equipment and it doesn't affect the CAF's military stockpile

 @9SLJBJVfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

We cannot afford the military and economic resources…our current support has left our own military vulnerable

 @9R2QTDQfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but we have to focus on our people first and if we can save resources and send it their way we will have happy people and happy international relations. It's a win-win

 @9QZCYDNfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

I think we should provide humanitarian and economic aid, but less military aid. Additionally, decrease overall spending but don't cut it out entirely

 @B4T8K9LConservative from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

38 months into the war & the only thing that has happened is that the country & population have been destroyed. Need to end the war and not continue to fund it.

No, choosing a side will only turn this conflict into a proxy war and further raise tensions between nato and Russia. Diplomatic action between both nations should be the only response of countries not involved.

 @9JWMJCZ from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

We'll send medical aid and food supplies to Ukraine if needed (humanitarian aid). By legal rights we will help out a country in need, just as we helped out the USA when they needed backup. By lawful creed of the knight order.

 @9JLF2GLfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

we should send humanitarian aid, we cannot afford to give military resources right now and also should not get involved in this conflict.

Yes. Ukraine is in need of it, but we should also do it to keep conflict from spreading in to NATO member territory, and preventing WWIII. It's also good to do for economic stability, as we need to make sure that we can play a role in a peaceful outcome/de-escalation which helps bring society and markets back to a greater stability.

 @98BXJ5Jfrom Alberta  answered…3yrs3Y

It's because of our interference that caused it and now doing more makes it worse for Ukraine than it would of been.

 @97WDKK8from Nova Scotia  answered…3yrs3Y

No, we should remain isolationist and Ukraine should rely on their own resources to defend themselves. We should not get involved in this conflict

 @97T4JZCConservativefrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y
