A women may not be in a good enough state to provide for the child and it is not their choice to be in that circumstance. The child could also be a reminder of that traumatic event so it could be hard for the mother to have a connection and sense of love for the child.

abortion actually gives women more trauma based on statistics in Europe. unfortunately our healthcare system doesn't record data on abortions after the fact. But women are at higher risk of suicide and drug abuse after an abortion even if the at the time wanted it done. You don't answer trauma by pilling more trauma on top of it.
