Buying a gun, contrary to popular belief, is not easy. To suggest that Canada, of all places, has lax gun control, is laughable. Even to get a non-restricted firearm (hunting rifles, shotguns, etc.) one must have a PAL, and getting one can take months. Getting a restricted firearm (handguns, etc.) is even harder, requiring you to pass a safety course. So no, it is not “easy” to get a gun in Canada.
