Individuals CAN have an impact but in most cases the important changes come from govenrment or corporate decisions.

 @9HCCVDZfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

Is important both as individual and a corporate level because we can start with ourself and after we can see the changes.

 @9HCM99RPeople’sfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I think the most important is, first, for actions to be implemented at a government or corporate level because it sets an expectation and example. If these were not in place and instead individual actions were the only ones taken, the changes would not be seen on an impactful scale.

 @9HBL7K3from Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I feel as though both groups can do more to help with the enviroment. Just me alone is not going to help

 @9HB3MV2from Ontario answered…8mos8MO

Your actions not only determine how many GHGs you physically put in the atmosphere, but also, perhaps more importantly, your words and actions influence others.

 @9H9RB5Lfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I believe both the government and individual actions have an impact, but the government more so.

 @9HBC5FTfrom Alberta answered…8mos8MO

I think that everyone should be taking part in helping the environment. We all release wastes everyday and some people even litter. I think that there should be a fine for littering if caught and that the government should also find a way to produce less trash, carbon, and other emissions.

 @9HBNVY3Conservativefrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I think it is more important for changes to be made at a governmental level as this encourages people to make individual changes.

 @9HBQ2D2from Saskatchewan answered…8mos8MO

I think that individual contributions count but that most of the progress should be done by the government.

 @9HCMW67from Ontario answered…8mos8MO

As individuals our changes do very little. Hugely populated countries such as China are the major polluters.

 @9H82FB7from Ontario answered…8mos8MO

It is more important for changes to be made at a government or coporate level because there needs to be enviromental laws to build a sustainable enviroment.

It is possible if a person has enough public leverage and has their own power gang or association.

 @9H9TJ8Kfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

Individuals should be in control of how they affect the environment and that the government should change it too because they can have a large affect on how the environment is changing.

 @9H9T9D2from Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I believe individual action have an impact on the environment. All the individual acts build up over time to become a big impact.

 @9HBV6FXLiberalfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

Changes at government and corporate level as even with individuals won’t be enough to make a change.

 @9HB42J5from Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I believe both the government and individual actions have a significant impact on the environment, however the government more.

 @9HBK4JNLiberalfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

Individual actions have a smaller impact on the environment compared to big corporations. I believe that the government should take more control and change.

 @9HBJZMCfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

Both, both are good because one person can change more than just them they can change there hole family then that family will talk to another family and therefor changing that family basically spreading not a disease but a better environmental view.

Individual actions can help a lot and could have a very good impact on the environment. I don't believe that it should be a governmental issue unless it gets out of hand.

Each one of should have a role in protecting the environment,not just the government

 @9HBP2GLfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I feel that it's more important for changes to be made at a corporate level because everyone has there own opinion

 @9HBH2Y6from Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I think it has an impact on the environment because your actions do affect and change something that you do.

 @9H9RMMVfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

It is unrealistic to imagine people will mobilize against climate change without government or corporate change. Single people of course cannot make change without immense activism.

 @9HCMD29from Saskatchewan answered…8mos8MO

 @9HBT66Cfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

i think changes should be made with government or corporate level because one single person won’t create problems

 @9HBYT88from Alberta answered…8mos8MO

The changes from the individual are far too small to make a great impact within a certain time period. The biggest problem lies in corporations and government and therefor they should be the ones expected to make and be held responsible for the important, heavy changes

 @9H9VHH3Conservativefrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

yes the person is responsible for tasking care of the environment and the government should support them

 @9HCF5MLfrom Nova Scotia answered…8mos8MO

I do not think one individual can even scrape the surface of fixing the climate crisis.

 @9HBBRVPNew Democraticfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I believe individual actions don't have a significant impact unless if it's done regularly.

 @9HCGMCTfrom Ontario answered…8mos8MO

I think changes need to be made on a larger scale because big companies impact the environment the most.

 @9QX93KGGreenfrom British Columbia answered…2wks2W

Every little bit helps, but I think the biggest changes need to be made at a corporate and governmental level, as those have the most impact. But I still believe it’s important for everyone to do what they can

 @9QSYXP9from Ontario answered…3wks3W

Both individual actions and systemic changes at the governmental and corporate levels are essential for environmental impact.
Individual actions:
Encourage personal responsibility and awareness
Governmental and corporate changes:
Create frameworks for long-term, structural change

 @9QSYQCSfrom Ontario answered…3wks3W

I think that individual actions are a good start to making change, but I also think that in order to make a bigger difference these actions should be encouraged by the government of in schools.

 @9QQVYPLfrom Ontario answered…3wks3W

Yes no matter what individual actions can have a impact to the envirenment like any other actions could.

 @9QQVKZBfrom Ontario answered…3wks3W

Yes, because a select few individuals, such as Taylor Swift are responsible for most of the carbon emissions.

 @9QQMRLDfrom Ontario answered…3wks3W

No i believe people outside of the government have and should have a lot to say as they are out of the restricted environment

 @9QQK6KFLiberalfrom Ontario answered…3wks3W

Individual actions can have a significant impact on the environment if everybody as an individual is doing it, so obviously people have to make small changes to their lifestyle to reduce emissions. On the other hand, larger changes (switching energy sources) has to be done at a governmental/corporate level, so both have a large impact, but larger changes from governmental/corporate level will have a larger impact because it doesn't depend on people willing to change.

 @9QQJ3YRNew Democraticfrom Ontario answered…3wks3W

The government needs to make changes to prevent hurting the environment.

 @9QQGGYJfrom Ontario answered…3wks3W

Individual actions may not have profound impact on the environment, but if everybody does them, it can make a difference.
