Hurricane Oscar has formed off the coast of the Bahamas, prompting warnings from the National Hurricane Center.
The storm, which quickly intensified from a tropical disturbance, is now threatening the Bahamas and parts of eastern Cuba with strong winds and heavy rain. Oscar's maximum sustained winds have reached 80 mph, and the region is bracing for potential damage. Additionally, Tropical Storm Nadine has also formed, posing a threat to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula and Belize.
Both storms are being closely monitored as they develop.
