In Canada, there is a minimum amount of money an individual needs to adequately survive. Companies should be able to provide workers with a standard amount of money that a person can live off of.

That everyone makes the wage they desire on how well and effectively they do the work they are assigned

Look at our current economic situation, caused almost entirely by govt intrusion into the free market.

the company that people work for and are still not making enough to provide for there family should be able to help them out in any type of way

Back in the day, minimum wages were created as a means of allowing workers to live off their own, now its not enough

Worker Exploitation: Without any wage standards, there is a risk of worker exploitation. Employers could pay unlivable wages and offer poor working conditions, leaving employees with no bargaining power or legal recourse.

It depends on the situation since it could greatly affect making a drastic change. First you have to evaluate all the possible situations to make a decision.

As a citizen, we need a certain amount of money to survive. Removing our minimum wage will increase the chance of companies lowering our minimum wage resulting in us earning little to no money to survive.

 @9FB2CDTNew Democraticfrom British Columbia disagreed…8mos8MO

if we have no minimum wage then companies will lower the pay to their employees and it will cause a large increase in poverty

Minimum wage should definitely be increased especially due to the fact that people who work that are under 18 only make 13.50 an hour unless they work more than 28 hours in a week. How dumb is that.

People need an adequate wage to live comfortably, so if you eliminate all wage standards, people are going to be on a downfall

 @9FDJ6R6from British Columbia disagreed…7mos7MO

In canada all people need a fighting chance to work, and eliminating all wages is pointless and will increase the amount of homeless population.

 @9F9NN3Gfrom Alberta disagreed…8mos8MO

I think they should keep the wage standards because how its set up right now is good and there should be no changes.

 @9F5JS6Bfrom Ontario disagreed…8mos8MO

By adopting the minimum wage, which might have resulted in employees receiving unreasonably low pay, employers run the risk of being exploitative. Workers will rely on government assistance in which the money was from taxpayers. The standard of living continues to be a critical issue.

They should eliminate because most of the minimum wage workers are fairly young and wouldn’t be able to afford the pricing of goods
