I think that global cooperation is essential and a country should prioritize their citizens, there should be a balance between the two, that ever so slightly leans toward the well being of their citizens

no, global cooperation is essential for a country's recognition and power.

No because everyone living in that country is a citizen
@9KZ459G12mos12MO
I think to an extent because the country needs to take care of its people above everything but to take care of people you also have to keep peace with other countries

Yes, as a country effects their citizens them most.

I think it's important since a country's interests should be to its people first, the world is important but at the end of the day we have independent countries for a reason

Yes because it can build a strong bond with the citizens making everyone more likely to stay
I think we need a perfect mix of taking care of our citizens and helping out other nations, but maybe a little more shift towards our own citizens right now.

Yes, I think that the government focus' to much on not fighting or gaining territory over the well being of its own citizens.

A country should always put its own citizens first. I believe that Canada is over-supporting immigration and is failing to recognize flaws that its own citizens are having to deal with everyday. The lack of government funding on reservations for example, has left many Indigenous communities without clean and safe water. How can we focus on the needs of other when our own have not been met?
