Rome Set to Host Half a Million Youth for Historic Catholic Jubilee

Rome is preparing to welcome over half a million young people from 146 countries for the Jubilee of Youth, the largest event of the 2025 Holy Year.

The weeklong celebration, running from July 28 to August 3, will feature religious gatherings, cultural events, and opportunities for young Catholics to pass through the Holy Doors of the Papal Basilicas. The event aims to foster hope, fraternity, and peace among youth from around the world, with participation from diverse regions including Korea, Egypt, South Africa, and the United States. Special arrangements, such as livestreams and guided tours, are being made for those unable to attend in person.

The Vatican and the city of Rome are making extensive preparations to ensure the safety and spiritual enrichment of all attendees.
