Should Canada increase or decrease the amount of temporary work visas given to high-skilled immigrant workers?
Skilled temporary work visas are usually given to foreign scientists, engineers, programmers, architects, executives, and other positions or fields where demand outpaces supply. Most businesses argue that hiring skilled foreign workers allows them to competitively fill positions which are in high demand. Opponents argue that skilled immigrants decrease middle class wages and job tenure.

Our education system should be tailored to the job market. Too much utter waste of artsy fartsy programs when people can't find a plumber.

Educational institutions & government should join to evaluate the need for skilled workers, then provide $$$ incentives such as free tuition & small living allowance to Canadians willing to train to fill these gaps. We have too many unskilled, unemployed arts degrees, and educators are still pushing students to a prestigious ARTS program.

Educate more cons in highly skilled job areas

The definition of high-skilled immigrant workers needs a good overhaul. While we need a lot more doctors, all we are getting are food delivery drivers.

increase, because canada benefits from the workers, but it should be regulated so that these workers are treated fairly and compensated accordingly

Decrease, take care of our country first. That what government officials are voted in to office for. To take care of the Canadians first at all cost.
