All robots should obey Asimov's three laws of robotics, all AI machines included, the manufacturer would need to prove that for a product to be approved, but enforcement shouldn't necessarily be federal, it could be at any level, depending on the application.

AI should be allowed to grow and develop without over regulation, however, like all technologies there should be ethical limitations. AI should not be used solely to make life and death choices or anything that would negatively or unfairly positively affect people. It should be used to instruct, assist, and entertain. Not a tool to wield against it's citizens.

What exists today that is termed """AI""" is not intelligent. It is a plagiarism blackbox that has and can only be used for disinformative purposes by thieves.

yes, because this is uncharted territory, and as much as i dont like the canadian government i see its uses, and i have to put a small amount of trust in them to protect our interests, which is making sure my toaster one day isnt tryna kill me

Yes, but strictly for ethical public safety reasons only. Regulation cannot be allowed to hamper AI progress, or to unduly influence the freedom thought of AI and its users

Yes, and drastically decrease funding for AI until more ethical and environmentally friendly solutions have been found.
