No, the monarchy doesn't do much for Canada but it is not bad. I wouldn't appose change but the monarchy is written into the Constitution of Canada if we were to replace monarchy we would have to dismantal it and edit which can cause a crazy amount of risks for then the mornchy has done in Canada. It is not a big issue people just don't like it symbolism and if it not a big issue why risk the all stability for one small issue.
