Excess unneeded food should be given to those who need it. If we gave all the excess to the homeless, while also providing them homes, and mental health support, we could very well eliminate or close to eliminate homelessness.

No but our liability laws should be changed to allow businesses to easier run programs to reduce waste.

Yes, so long as this only applied to commercial operations and doesn't impact private citizens.

Yes, businesses who throw out food that can still be eaten if it can be fed to people who need it but refuse should be punished, businesses who feed people in need instead of wasting should be given tax breaks equal to the amount of potentially lost profits.

The government is so inefficient in everything it does, this would just be another waste of taxpayer dollars
