Foreign Individuals should absolutely be allowed to purchase homes within Canada. However. It is crucial that there are fact checking systems and regulations properly implemented to deter corporations or overtly wealthy individuals from hoarding Canadian homes and property, as this drives prices up, and makes it harder for anybody, foreign or Canadian, to purchase a home in Canada. It is for this reason I cannot express full unadulterated support for foreign purchase of Canadian property.
Yes, As someone who comes from another country and moved to Canada. My right to own a home is MY priority. Equalization is an important subject when it comes to foreigners, We shouldn't have privileged rights when buying a home.
