Canadian police catch a fox with a mouth full of stolen hot dogs

Officers in Alberta, Canada, recently responded to a call regarding a theft of barbecue goods only to discover a red fox fleeing the scene.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police joked that the suspect was short, had red hair, and wore a thick coat. They managed to snap a photo of the animal carrying at least five or six hot dogs in its mouth at once. While the incident was lighthearted, authorities warned that local wildlife are becoming increasingly bold around humans this spring.

National park officials are now reminding residents to secure all food to prevent habituating predators to human snacks.
