Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Social › LGBT Adoption Rights
5>5 Personal answerYes, but I think they should have to go through more of a thorough process to see if it is a good idea. I don't think every same-sex couple should be automatically permitted to adopt. Are they in a long-term, very stable and loving relationship? Are they going to provide a balanced view of the sexes - nothing wrong with being gay, but are they going to raise the child in a home that reveres both sexes. Are they adopting the child for the child's sake or for theirs? |

5>5 Personal answerIt depends - Take it on a case by case basis. What were the circumstances of the murder - is the prisoner likely to re-offend? Were there multiple victims? If it was particularly brutal and planned, then no parole should be granted. Perhaps after 15 yrs, if it wasn't horrific (though I would think every 1st degree is) they could get some small benefit while still incarcerated - more time outside, better food, more tv or visiting privileges, books, computer time, socialization - but only if they have earned through exemplary behaviour after 15 yrs, some sort of benefit like those ones. |
